Mermaids & Wednesday SAL

I managed to get a little bit of Mermaids stitched before I had to get ready for work.



Then when I got home I was talking to Crystal and she reminded me it's Wednesday so time for 'On Christmas Day' update. Crap I totally forgot and haven't stitched on it. She said that, that gives her and Wendy time to catch up. LOL. So I sneaked in a hours worth of stitching on it last night.



I think maybe today I will pick up a different one of the 15 and get some progress done on that. Maybe 'Wise Old Owl'. Happy Stitching!

Progress & Happy Dances

First off I decided to join in on FNS.



I need an excuse to put down the cross stitching and pick up my quilt that I started forever ago. Also Eleni's purse that was suppose to be a Christmas/Birthday gift and still isn't complete. Click on the picture if you want to join.

Next I managed to get two Happy Dances yesterday! Yay!!!! One is 'Snoopy I Love You'. He just needed his head filled in. So it didn't take me too long.



And the second one is called 'Hearts A Plenty'. I've decided to share it. I haven't decided if this will go to my swap partner or my giveaway or me! Will have to see once I get some other vday ornaments done.



I had so much fun doing this one I am tempted to make another one. It has over two, over one, beads, rhodes hearts, and a little straight stitching. I still have to add the button. I'm just waiting for it in the mail.

Also I had some more time for stitching last night so I picked up Mermaids. I'm just loving this piece, getting to use hand dyed threads is fun. I just love the crescent colors ones. But I started using the weeks dyed last night and I don't like the feel of it as much as the crescent ones.



On my last post a couple of ppl asked about the styrofoam circles that I got. Here is a pic of them. I was wrong I picked up the bigger circle one and it has 2 instead of the 6 package one I thought I got.



I put the stitched design on one side and fabric or another stitched design on the other side. Put ribbon between the two for a hanger then glue them together and put a thicker ribbon around the outside to hide the seam.

Alright well thats enough babble for today. Off to do a bit of stitching before I need to get ready for work. Happy Stitching!

I'm bad

After having so many problems with starting new projects the last few days what do I go and do.... I start a valentines project yesterday. Lol I know sad isn't it? Well I work on it some this morning and it's almost done. But I did pick out a couple of other vday patterns to do for ornaments. (A couple will be in my giveaway i'm sure) I got all happy and excited yesterday. I went to the dollar store to look and found the styrofoam circles that I use for some ornaments. One package had smaller ones (12 in it) and the little bit bigger circles had 6 in it. Each package was a dollar. I'm so going back and cleaning them out! Well i'm off to finish stitching on my vday pattern and maybe hopefully pick up Snoopy's 'I love you' since it's almost complete. Happy Stitching!

Day 15 the last day!

I actually managed to get some good stitching in yesterday. Which to me felt good after not wanting to start new things these last few days. I picked up Grumpy Bear. He's always been my favorite care bear so I need him stitched and hung up! I am trying Jobelan. I am actually falling in love with this fabric. I am so going to start using it! I'm also feeling accomplished because i'm finally doing a bigger piece over 2. Yay I feel like I've leveled up. LOL. Alright i'm off to a bridal show. My best friend while growing up is getting married this year and she wants me to go with her today. It should be a lot of fun! Well Happy Stitching to you all!

Day 14 of 15

Day 14s pick was Curious Cats stocking...



Yep heres my grand whopping 11 stitches for yesterday's start. I am having so many problems now getting myself to start a new project. Thank goodness today is the last start! I sat most of the day playing my DS and kept putting off stitching. But I finally picked it up and got a couple stitches in. First off this is 22ct hardanger. At first I did two threads over two but it didn't look filled enough. Then I frogged it and tried three threads. It still looks a little bit too... empty. For you more experienced stitcher's out there 'how many threads would you suggest on 22ct over 2'?

Day 13 of 15

So yesterday I went to the LNS and JoAnn's and Michaels. I got a lot of cool stuff. Got my swap partners v-day gifts, and stuff for my v-day giveaway (keep an eye out). I can't show you everything I got but here are some of the things I got at the LNS.



The last time I was in there she had gotten some really gorgeous sparkly fabrics. I couldn't think of anything I needed them for but they were just so pretty. So I came home and went through my stash and found something I thought would be really cute on it. So I picked up some 'Seaside Twinkle' and started my 13th project. 'Mermaids'



I also have never used any of the hand dyed threads so I pick up the recommended colors and I am having a lot of fun using them. I really did not want to put this one down at all last night. I think this will be the first one I pick back up. I am so thankful since I started blogging it has really opened my eyes to all that is out there for cross stitching. I'm finally starting to branch out and try new things.

Yay only two more projects to go! I really don't want to pick up either of my last couple of projects. But I don't want to pick something new. So off I go to figure out which one is getting worked on today. Happy Stitching!

Day 12

So yesterday I picked up the Mill Hill 'Nice' ornament. I got much more accomplished on this one vs. the day I picked up the 'Naughty' one.



Now i'm off to get ready. Going to go to the LNS store and pick up a few goodies and then to JoAnn's and then to Michaels to get next weeks schedule. And then John and I are going to go see a movie and eat out. Hopefully I can squeeze some stitching in tonight. Happy stitching to you all.

Day 11 of 15 & Wed. SAL

Getting to the home stretch. Only a few more starts and then we can actually try to get some more finishes in! I actually had another Happy Dance yesterday. I picked my last 'small' project after the troubles with the weight lifting kitty. I picked up 'Snuggle with me' from Britter cup. It was just too cute I had to stitch it!



And then since today is Wednesday I get to show my progress of 'On Christmas Day'. I hadn't really been able to work on it except for a couple stitches here and a couple stitches there. But yesterday after finishing snuggle I picked it up and got a whole page done. Yay half way done!

Day 10 of 15

*sighs* I did not have a good day yesterday with my pick. I picked up Margaret Sherry's weight lifting cat. I saw him and hes just so cute and I thought it would be a cute idea to stitch him up and hang him by John's weights. So I sat down and did a bunch of the stitches then set it aside to play the Wii with John. Later when I picked it up and started another color I noticed one little section is over one square... and of course it's in the middle of the thread so I have to frog a huge section just to move 4 squares! So I got really fed up and threw him back into the box. I thought about just picking something different but by the time I did it was midnight and I just decided to head to bed. So who knows I might just add the new one I picked last night or just try picking up the kitty again another day. I hope you guys all had better progress yesterday than I did!

Day 9 of 15

So after work I sat down and picked up project 9.

Oh I know what it is... it's a happy dance! My second finish of the year! Pooh Bear. I'm going to put a pin backing on him. After I got him finished I worked on my secret non stitchy project for a little while last night. Now i'm off to pick today's project and work more on the non stitchy project. Day 8 of 15

After I blogged yesterday I sat down and just really did not feel like stitching. So I just picked up my Mill Hill ornament 'Naughty' and put just a couple stitches in. So it's a start.


I did end up doing something else crafty but pics will have to wait til its all finished and delivered in the mail.

I have to leave for work in a bit. Hopefully when I get home i'll have more stitchy mojo to get today's project started.

Day 7 of 15

Man o man am I tired today. Couldn't fall asleep for anything last night and then John came to bed really late and instead of turning his alarm on he turned mine off! Luckily I had set my alarm really early. (I was hoping to post before I had to go to work) John woke up and was like "Hun aren't you suppose to be getting ready for work" So I rushed through getting ready so i'd have time to drive to town on the snowy roads. I ended up making it to work way too early! LOL. Anyways yesterday I picked 'I Love You Snoopy'. I plan on making it a Valentine's ornament for my little tree. I almost had my second finish of the year but alas... half his head still needs filled in. It will most likely be the first one I pick up after all 15 projects have been started. Now to go figure out what to work on tonight. I really can't wait to go back and finish some of these projects! And I already have a couple new things that need to be added to the pile to be stitched soon for presents.

Day 6 of 15

Another day another start. I picked up Daisy Girl. I don't know what it was about this pattern yesterday but it just kept intimidating me. It's not full of confetti or anything but I just kept feeling overwhelmed by it. So I didn't get too much stitched. I think for todays start i'm picking an easy one that maybe I can have my second finish of the year with. Well happy stitching to you all!

Day 5 of 15

I ended up picking Story of Seasons. It's a soda stitch pattern. I just love their patterns. I didn't really get too much done on it yesterday (ended up playing video games with John) but a start is a start.

Day 4 of 15 & Wed. SAL

So day 4 I picked up Autumn in NY. I didn't really get too much done on it yesterday. I ended up finally getting my butt around and took down the Christmas stuff. But here is what I did manage...



Also today is Wednesday so that means 'On Christmas Day' SAL. I got a good chunk done before the new year but I haven't touched it at all since starting the crazy 15 but I guess I prolly should this week so I will have some progress to show next week.
