Super bowl Sunday & V day winners

Ok first off yesterday I went the my LNS for a super bowl Sunday stitching party. It was a lot of fun. We had a lot of great food and had lots of fun talking. I was a little nervous to go. But I ended up knowing one lady that came. I use to work with her so that helped. I think i'll be going to future ones. I took along 'Autumn in New York' to work on. I got a decent amount stitched since we did a lot of talking and eating.

Lorna (LNS owner) also held a couple drawings while we were there. I won the second one! I was so excited. I won a pair of dinky dye scissor and a cute finger nail clipper in the shape of a hand. (She also got in toe nail clippers shaped like feet. They are so cute.)

Lorna also gave us 10% off our purchases. So I picked up some fabric to start a birthday SAL on the Sanman board. And some brown and white beads to finally finish 'Mermaids' (look for it tomorrow). I also got a free key chain and prairie schooler pattern.

Ok now onto what you really want to know. The winners for my Valentines giveaway. First I made a random list of all the names.

Then I used the number generator to pick two numbers.

Congrats to Binky & Peggy!!! Each of you need to send me your snail mail. And Binky you need to tell me which package you want to receive.

Ok i'm off to run up to the library and pick up a couple books and then come home and clean some. Then to finish 'Mermaids'!!!!

Wed SAL & Valentine Giveaway

Alright first off here is my update on my Christmas SAL with Crystal & Wendy. I knew there was a reason I kept putting off working on it again. It somehow didn't get measure right. I was suppose to have three inches on each side but it just fits on the bottom. So hopefully once I get it finished it won't be too much hassle to frame it, maybe i'll actually pay to have this one framed.

Now onto what everyone wants to know about. My Valentine's Giveaway. I again have two prizes, but this time i'm going to let the person whos name I draw first pick which one they want to receive. Now for the details.

Be a follower (yes international followers you can enter too).
Post about my giveaway on your blog. (Please tell me when you do so you can get your extra entry.

Think that sounds good. I think I will leave it open until the 7th. So hopefully just maybe you can get it around Valentines Day. Now maybe you'd like to know what you might win.

In prize A there is a tub of candy. Mainly Hersey's milk and dark chocolates and some kisses. Also a box of candy hearts. Some Valentine ribbon. Cherry Blossom soap petals. Valentine socks. Wooden Love. Woodstock magnet made by me. A be mine ornament. And one of my handmade scissor fobs. I will also add in a handmade valentine ornament from me.

Now for prize B. A cute little bag for your goodies. A strawberry champagne reed defuser. A snoopy magnet made by me. Candy hearts. A rose sucker. Be Mine wooden ornament. A pot and seeds to grow mini roses. And of course one of my handmade scissor fobs. Also I have another spool of Valentines ribbon that I forgot to add in this picture (same spool as in prize A), and a box of chocolates that also escaped being in the picture. This prize will also include a handmade valentines ornament from me.

That about sums it up. Good luck!

Happy Stitching

Some progress

I was visiting with my grandma the other day and we were going through her egg beads and things. (It's better than going into a bead shop she has so much!) I noticed she had a bunch of needles just put into a piece of paper. So I decided I'm going to make her a little needle book. It doesn't exactly match the fabric colors but oh well. (I just need to pick up some felt and ribbon to finish it)

I also picked up and finished another little valentine ornament i'd started. Here are both sides.

Here it is finished.

After I finished that I got to thinking i've been neglecting my Crazy 15. So I picked up Story of Seasons and got this far.

I think John got me sick. He woke up with a sore throat the other day and yesterday I was either too hot or freezing cold all day and then this morning I woke up with the sore throat. So today i'm just going to sit watch movies and stitch. Hope your all finding stitching time!

Happy Stitching!

no sleep! & a hidden giveaway

First off why I got no sleep! For the life of me I had the most trouble falling asleep last night. Once I finally did the phone rang. It was 4 in the morning. My cousin Scott was calling to tell us the cops were checking out our garage. I guess some guys broke into the restaurant (by their house) and now were hiding in our garage. As soon as I put the phone down in a half sleep funk the spotlights came on and shown right on me! So I got up and went downstairs to talk to dad about what was going on. They were out there for over an hour! And the craziest/stupidest thing is not one cop came to tell us what was going on. They just tramped all over our property. Dad said for all they (the cops) know the people could of been holding us hostage and they would of never know. I'm so ready for a nap!

Anyways onto a hidden giveaway...
I decided while I was stitching the valentines ornament the other day that I would make it a hidden giveaway! So thanks everyone for commenting on my post!

Congrats Parsley! I'll get it out to you in the mail real soon!

I've also decided that i'd like to do RAKs so if you'd ever like to recieve a RAK from me send me your address. (curiouskttycat at yahoo dot com) I'm going to try to send at least one thing to everyone that sends me their address.

So yesterday I sat and did some finishing. I will have to get some pictures before I send some of it away. After dinner I sat and made a couple of my scissor fobs for my giveaway and swap partners. Have some errands to do today but hopefully I can get some stitching time in later tonight. Alright off to wake my butt up some more so I can get my errands done! Happy Stitching!

Mermaids & Wednesday SAL

So as promised here is my progress on Mermaids. Yep all thats left is a little backstitch on the shells at the bottom and to do the french knots for eyes and necklaces. I could of finished this last night but I decided to set it aside and work on some Valentine ornaments so I can get some hung up on my tree.

Oh yea it's Wednesday. I'm suppose to show my progress of 'On Christmas Day'. Well I haven't touched it this past week. So no progress to share. Hopefully I can remember to work on it this week so I can share some progress.

Happy Stitching!

A new toy.

So yesterday we went into town to do laundry and get some groceries. And I decided to stop at JoAnn's. Last week they had a promotion going on that if you spent $50 you got a $10 coupon thing off your purchase this week. I wasn't planning on spending $50 but I was at like $47 so I grabbed a cross stitch magazine to put me over $50 so I could get the $10 thing. So we are walking around and I have been thinking/debating with myself to buy an Ott Light. I've only heard great things about them. So I broke down and looked at them. Guess what they were half off. So I figured why not. I've also got the $10 off.

So I picked this up for a grand whopping total of.... $15. It's normally $50. Now I need to figure out how to set it up by my stitching spot.

Also i've been trying to get John into a crafty hobby and hes ok trying something but seems to get bored easily with it. I picked up a cute hook latch but i'll prolly end up doing it. But yesterday he picked this out (sorry about the flash).

He's excited to do it but he's waiting til I have to paint something so I can help him with it.

On stitchy news i've been working on mermaids still. I just am loving this project so I think i'm going to stick with it until it's done. (which shouldn't be too much longer) I didn't feel like taking it out of the qsnaps so you will just have to wait til I do so I can take a picture. Alright i'm off to stitch until it's time to get ready for work. Happy stitching!
