New Project

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I got to thinking awhile ago that I want to take a stab at making my own purse. I saw one that Blu did on her blog over at Therapy by Thread. And now I want to take a stab at one. I got turned on to this Korean company called Soda and I've wanted to do one of their patterns for awhile now and I figured it would make an adorable purse! But now I need to figure out which pattern I want to use. I've managed to narrow the field down to 7! Now if you all can be so kind and help me pick one, I'd forever be thankful! Otherwise I'll prolly still be sitting here deciding which to use a year from now.

Alright so far the votes are
#1 - 1
#2 - 1
#3 - 1
#4 - 2
#5 - 0
#6 - 0
#7 - 2

Also it seems that a lot of people are having trouble posting comments to my blog. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

Christmas

Well I haven't really been able to stitch too much really. Right before Thanksgiving we found out my dad needs to have bypass surgery. They all kept saying they were so surprised at how well my dad is considering how bad it is (we found out he has to have five bypasses). But yet they didn't schedule the surgery til tomorrow (Dec. 8th). So I have been trying to just do what I can to help dad. I have managed to get a few more Christmas cards done. Which I will scan and post them all cuz most of them turned out lovely! And I did manage to do this Kyo pattern that Dawn gave to me. (I guess mojo designed it). I tried to see if I could fit Yuki next to him but hes too big. I wonder if I can shrink him down? Well i'm packed with stitching stuff to sit and try to do tomorrow in the waiting room. Wish us luck!

It has occurred to me that I have never scanned and posted Mokona finished. So here it is. I got the pattern from Dawn over at Anime Stitching.

Batch 2... Christmas Cards

So here are some more of the Christmas ones i've gotten done. I'm kinda upset it seems that some of the ones I picked out are too big.

Christmas minis

I've also decided to make my own Christmas cards for kicks this year. Yes Emily you can pick which ever one you want. Here is what i've stitched so far. I have some Disney ones to do also.

Mom's birthday present

Well my mom's birthday is Nov 17th so I decided to make her a bookmark.

Finished Car

Dad loved his car I did for his birthday. Here it is finished.

*sighs*

Well i'm back. My boyfriend accidentally broke our brand new computer. It cost another $300 just to fix it. I'm so upset about that. Then to make it worse I lost everything! And I mean everything! Teach me not to backup my stuff again. I can pay another $120 and the computer place can get my stuff for me. But who has the money. Well since i've been gone I finished the car for my Dad and he loved it. (i'll have to scan it later so I have it on here) I've also started and almost finished my mom's birthday present. And i've decided to make my own christmas cards this year and have done 4 different ones already. (i'll also scan them later)

The Cat & Harbor

Well Eleni & Yapani (John's mom and grandma) got their stitched pieces yesterday in the mail. Eleni was so happy and his grandma just loves her Greek harbor. I'm glad they like them. Well I almost have the car completely finished I need to go pick up some more 817 (red floss) and get the colors today for my next project which is for my mom's birthday.

Break from Car

I had enough with red, so I took a break from the car and stitched this small autumn pattern. It turned out pretty good on black.

Another Car update!

It's moving along very nicely. I am getting very sick of red though. But i'm pretty much done with all the red. I did take a break and stitched more on Mokona. Believe that's pretty much done. I do need to sit and try to figure out how to switch the '58 in this pattern to a '59.

Car

Haven't been in much of a mood to stitch the car. Starting to get sick of the reds. But Here is what i've managed to get done.

Update on Car

Well i've managed to work a bit more on the corvette. It's moving along nicely. I am a little upset though. The pattern calls for glissengloss thread. I got DMC thread that looks the same. It is so hard to work with! It's all scratchy and loves to tangle up. But it does look nice. The picture didn't turn out all that great so you can't see the silver of the floss i've used so far. Only 20 more days to get it finished!

Dad's Birthday

A few days ago I started a project to give to my Dad for his birthday. He restored a 59 Corvette not too long ago that he has been meaning to restore since before I was born. It's a gorgeous car. So I searched high and low for a pattern of the car. And I found a 58 one. So I asked him the differences between the two years. There are a couple one on the front hood of the car and one on the back. Well my pattern doesn't show the one on the back but there are two differences I have to change on the front of the car. This pattern requires Tweeding. It looks so weird to me while i'm stitching it. Hope it looks good when it's done.

Finished

I got the book marked finished last night. Sadly i'm not overly happy with the yarn that I got to use on the sides. But it doesn't look too bad. Hopefully Emily will still love it.

Some progress

Well I've tried to do a little on each project I've got going. I need to finish a couple of these so I can start on one for my Dad for his birthday next month (a 59 corvette...he has one he restored). I am finding out with the Santa head that it gets harder to get the beads one line under. I keep wanting to go down one more line cuz the beads are lined with that. But so far it's looking pretty good. And Mokona is about filled in. Sadly I still haven't touched the Pooh Map.

Wednesday, September 23, 2009

So I got a little farther on the back of the Nemo bookmark. But..... I didn't like it. So I took it all out and started new. I should have the new back finished today!

Monday, September 21, 2009

And last but definitely not least is Emily's Nemo bookmark. I just have to do the back which i'm stitching half stitches randomly with three different blues. And then put the two together! Not much longer Em I promise! (I'll work on it some more today!)

Also I started a Christmas Pin of Santa's head. I haven't gotten too far on him but I find the beading style a good break from stitching.

One of the other projects i'm working on is Mokona from an anime called Tsubasa Chronicles (also there is a black version in XXX Holic). He's a cute little Mokona! I just need to finish filling him in with white (I stitched this on antique white) and then i'm going to do the background in the same dark red that's in his head.
For once i've been working on so many projects I don't know which to work on. I haven't touched my Pooh Map. I still have all the back stitching to get done. Think i'm just putting it off LOL. I also got a frame for the Greek Harbor. So all I have to do it iron it out again and then do the beading (berries in the bushes). Then I can finally mail them out!

Wednesday, September 16, 2009

I have been able to get a ton of stitching time in on my Pooh Map all that is left is the backstitching.

So I started a bookmark a couple of days ago for my best friend. I haven't gotten very far on it cuz i'm still sneaking in stitches on my Pooh Map as I go.

Sunday, September 13, 2009

I got a bit more stitching in last night. All yesterday my head was really foggy and I didn't feel all that well.

Friday, September 11, 2009

Here it is after just a couple hours of stitching. And i'm trying to do it in the "correct" x way. Where they all cross the same direction.

So I finished the Greek pattern as much as I can until I get a frame for it. So I decided to start on something new. And I don't really have anything to do for anyone in particular so i'm actually going to try to do something for myself. Don't really know why I picked this one of all the patterns I want for myself. But it looked like it would be fun. Now that i'm looking at the pattern and seeing all the quarter stitches i'm kicking myself in the butt. *sighs* Well as soon as I can make it to the store i'm going to get the colors I need for the soda seasons pattern and try working on both at the same time. Or do an old car pattern for my dad. I know he would love that.

Monday, September 7, 2009

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's done. Well almost..... I have to stitch in a few beads that are suppose to be french knots in the bushes then do my framing. Then it gets sent out to John's grandma.

Sunday, September 6, 2009

I was digging through some of my cross stitch stuff and found an old finished project. One of the only things I've ever stitched for myself. I find that if I stitch something for myself I have absolutely no drive to finish it. But anyways I stitched this and was planning on putting a picture under the I Love You.

Sunday, August 30, 2009

I took a break again from the Greek Harbor. I decided to pick up one of my many garage sale finds from this summer. I found two Mill Hill beading ones. I have never done any beading cross stitch. So I found this to be very fun, and it didn't take me long to finish. I am slight mad with myself for being an idiot and gluing the thing onto paper with my hot glue gun.... duh glue go through holes. But other than that I think it turned out really good.

Tuesday, August 25, 2009

Well I promised John that I would make him a bookmark awhile ago because I found some cute tiny cross stitch patterns of a moogle and chocobo from Final Fantasy. And I never got around to starting it. The other day I was surfing around the web and found this site that has game patterns. They are really cool. They don't have thread numbers so that part makes it kinda hard. But while I was looking at this site he saw the metroid patterns. So I made him this. I still have to stitch it together. But I think it turned out pretty good

Friday, August 21, 2009

Yay i've gotten 3/4 done!!!!! I'm so proud of myself. This is the largest pattern i've ever done. I had a lot of trouble with the rocks and grass on the left side. So made me want to just throw the entire thing away. Now just to do the boat and little more grass and finish the buildings in the last part and then backstitch and done!!!!!!!

Saturday, August 15, 2009

Finally got a new computer so i'm back. I haven't gotten much more done on my Greek project. I keep getting frustrated with this one section that i'm working on. It's a hill and the designs on the pattern just keep confusing me. So it seems to be taking me twice as long to stitch just a couple squares. As soon as I get my printer working i'll scan the pattern and get a better picture of the cat I finished for Eleni.

Saturday, July 11, 2009

I haven't been stitching too much lately. My shoulder has been aching and my computer is being a pain so i've just been watching movies with John and reading books. But I did manage to finish Eleni's cat. I can't wait to give it to her.

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

I managed to get a bit more stitching time in yesterday. This one seems to be moving along pretty nicely.

Sunday, June 28, 2009

So I started working on the stitch last night. Put a couple hours into while watching a movie with John, and I find out I picked up two colors that I didn't need instead of the ones I did. Arg! Oh well it's an excuse to go back to the craft store and pick up the colors I need.

Saturday, June 27, 2009

Got all my supplies together and in my box to start working on my new stitch. Think i'll start it some tonight. This one is for my boyfriends Grandma. She is Greek so I really hope she loves it.

Tuesday, June 23, 2009

Well here it is. I finished it two nights ago. Now to iron, mat, and frame it. It doesn't look too bad considering I did mess up on his body a lot. Should have picked something a bit easier to jump back into stitch with. It's hard to see but I used a shimmer thread in with the "menopaws" part. Now I stitched this for my boyfriends mom so I hope she likes it.

Sunday, June 21, 2009

This is what i've been working on for the past month and a half. The cat is finally complete and all I have to add is some words. Next to the feet I have to stitch menopaws. And underneath that it says "the hottest i've been in years"

Clearing up some confusion.

About all the patterns I lost that I had scanned. I had just scanned all my books! I have over 50 and a lot of them were the big hard cover books with a lot of pages. I scan my patterns and then print them so that I can mark on them as I go. I was so upset with losing all that time I took to scan them that sadly I just said "screw it". And now that im back to cross stitching sadly my scanner is broke now. *sighs* Just not a win win situation for me. So i'm making copies til I can get my scanner working again.

Hello

Hello everyone. I decided to start this blog to post my stitching progress. I am a self taught stitcher and have been stitching for awhile now. I did sadly take almost a 6 year break from stitching because I lost all my patterns I had scanned. So since i've picked the needle back up i've decided to post my finished projects here for people to see. Thanks for taking the time to look over my blog!
