It's that time of the month.... time for the TUSAL here is my jar. I've been having to squish a lot of it down because I've been a busy stitcher lately I just can't show any of it yet.

Halloween stitching
Dang its hard to believe it's already November! Yesterday I sat and watched movies and stitched all day. It sure felt good. I watched 'Hocus Pocus' 'Practical Magic' then made dinner then watched 'Beetlejuice' and then sat with John and watched 'The Sixth Sense'. He'd never seen it. I managed to finish the brittercup cat for a pillow i'm making John...

I also put in the last couple stitches on Christmastime... it's suppose to have beads too and I totally changed the colors. I need to figure out something to put in the middle. Overall i'm not too sure I like this one.

And then I needed something else to stitch so I picked up a freebie from Heart's Desire and finished it pretty fast. I changed the green to a darker green. I didn't think the minty green looked all that good.

Well i'm off to work on my swap partner's things since they need to go out in a couple weeks. Happy Stitching!

I'm happy they both got them before Halloween. Well i'm off to watch my favorite Halloween movie Hocus Pocus and stitch some more for John's pillow. If you've never seen this movie then you should go rent it. It's just an adorably cute movie.

To Grandma's House we go
So on Wednesday we went to my Grandma & Grandpa's house. Dad & John needed to help my Grandpa with his sliding glass door. It wasn't shutting and locking properly. And Grandma and I talked crafts. She has decided to try cross stitching. She picked up some really cute lavender & lace patterns at a garage sale and gave me a couple awhile back. She also showed me her newest egg... yes egg. My Grandma makes the most gorgeous delicate eggs. She uses Ostrich, chicken, robin, emu, and a bunch of others that I can't think of the names right now. She makes some really pretty things with them. Her newest one is a girl in a dress. I think it is one of my favorites she has done. The dress is all made out of egg shells and the umbrella is too. She glued all the little beads by hand and cut and trimmed all the green parts of the dress. Well instead of me trying to sit here and describe it I should just show you. I put together a slide show of a lot of her eggs so you can see how talented she is. (If you want you can go to my photobucket account and see bigger pictures by clicking on the slideshow)
I've also (with her help) made a few myself. I'm thinking of trying my hand at making another one someday soon. Also my Grandma picked up some things for me while she was garage saleing this summer. This really cute kit...
and some floss...( which I've managed to get one box added to my collection the rest is being sent to Emily :P )
She also had bought some cheapy floss at a store and she was going to throw it away. But I use them for bracelets and other odds and ends so I got a box stuffed full of assorted colors.
Well i'm off to go stitch a brittercup pattern to make John a cute pillow. Hopefully i'll have some progress to show you tomorrow. Happy Stitching!

Comment problem
I have decided to add the comment moderator to my blog. Hopefully this way I will not miss anyones comments.
And the winners are....
Gracie & Parlsey! I have contacted you both and am patiently waiting for your emails. I do want to tell everyone I'm sorry that this was posted today. Yesterday was just one of them days.
Today I also received my giveaway that I won from Riona. It's some really cute patterns. Thanks!
I also received from a SanMan friend some fall floss aren't they just so pretty. She also included some cute fall buttons. Now to find something to stitch with it all.
I hope you all have taken some time to check out the online needlework show. I know I found some new stuff to add to my wish list (only 56 new patterns LOL). I got so excited when I found a couple of Otter patterns. Otters are my favorite animals and I had no clue there were any otter patterns. So this one my Katy Did It is at the top of my new wish list.

Well i'm off to hopefully stitch or knit. Hope everyone has a great fall day.

A Technical Question
I'm having an issue getting my comments to be sent to my email. I only get one out of every 5 or so now. So i'm sadly missing half of my comments. This is really frustrating to me. I love to read what everyone writes. Does anyone have any clue why i'm not getting them in my email?

A broken needle!
I can't believe it I broke a needle on my sewing machine! I was sewing away madly and it just snapped! Think thats a first for me and my sewing machine. But I suppose I should show you what I was sewing.
First up is an Ipod case for Johns little sister. She saw the one that I made and asked me to make her one in a dark blue. I just love the fabric that John found for it.

Then I finally made myself sit down and try some finish finishing techniques. I actually had a lot of fun with them! First my favorite. John picked out this pattern with his love of all things Cat (smile). It was an easy stitch and I took out the mouth I didn't like how it was on the pattern so I just skipped it but I think it just looks too cute! The fabric thats on the back is a velvet and leather (it said it was leather but feels very silky almost but heavy like leather). It just feels so awesome! As always we are are own worst critiques so I have to critique myself. Critic point: I can see glue everywhere and I had a little trouble lining up the cording just right on the sides.

My second favorite of my finishes is this one! The pattern is a freebie from Kreinik. I changed the colors dramatically. And I just fell in love with this fabric. The ghosts have glitter on them. I even made the cute pins at the top. Critic point: I am a little upset with my ribbon on the top it just doesn't look right to me.

And the third one I did is a little stuff Ghost with beads. I think it turned out pretty cute. Critic point: I wish I had stuffed him a little better and I just always hate where I have to sew it shut. Anyone have any helpful tips on this?

And now that most of the leaves have changed and are covering our yards I finally got a picture of my road. You've seen other season so I have to share my favorite one with you.

It's funny that almost all the trees in my yard are bare but most of the trees on the road are still green. Well i'm off to stitch on an exchange. Should be my last thing. I need to get back to my Christmas ornaments. :D
Happy Stitching!
Edit: Can't believe I forgot one of the important things! The two ghost finishes are going into my giveaway! So if you haven't entered yet make sure you do. I will be drawing a name on Thursday. You have til the end of Wednesday to enter. Good luck!

Packages have arrived!
Yay some of my packages have arrived so I can share with you all. If you remember I talked about the SanMan message board doing a Halloween sock giveaway. Well here is what I sent to my partner.

She says it was perfect. Pumpkins are her favorite Halloween thing. They also did a Wish List of 13 things you wanted to wish for. I fulfilled one persons wish for a scissor fob. I have never stitch my charms before it was fun to do it this way.

Also a very long time ago (like a few months) John's mom called and teased me that Alexis (John's little cousin) was upset because I've stitched something for everyone in the family except her. Well I of course had to fix that but her birthday wasn't until this month. So I've kept it! I just sent it out the same day as the other packages and she received it yesterday but she was staying at her dad's so she is suppose to be opening it after school today. But I figured i'll post the pics now.

The pattern of the cat is by Gloria & Pat but I changed the colors dramatically! I designed her name, and painted the frame to go with it. I also got her a bunch of just little whatevers to have fun with. A ribbon dancer, a stain glass window thing that you paint, Spongebob with some candy, a paint by number, beads to make a necklace, and some wall art stickers. Hope she likes it all.

Well Eleni is suppose to find out when her surgery is going to be on her back. So we will be going to New York for a couple weeks sometime soon. Please send prayers because this surgery can go either way and she is really nervous about it.

Wow just wow
I woke up again to a shocking email. I won another giveaway! Riona over at Oubliette has a PIF giveaway every month and I won this months. I'm so excited. I'm thankful for winning each of these giveaways considering I didn't have a great day a couple of days ago. I found out my neighbor passed awhile in his sleep during the night. It kinda hit me hard I can't really figure out why exactly except I've know this guy my entire life. I remember growing up always have to go across the street to show them my Halloween costume before I would go trick or treating. I remember making them Christmas present as a kid and making a May Day basket every year. I know he's in a much better place and he died the best way you can I guess. He fell asleep in his favorite chair and just didn't wake up. Well anyways enough tears.
When I got the mail today I found a package from a SanMan friend. She sent me some wonderful charms. I can't wait to use some of them!!!

Well i'm going to go stitch on something to add to my giveaway. I have two things ready to be 'finished' finished. But I want to finish them all at the same time. Happy stitching!
